Lessons from a Paint Class

Yesterday the women in our congregation had a painting class together and as I was working on my painting I got my brush too wet and a drip of water slid down my painting, seemingly ruining it. I asked what I should do and the class instructor Sonya looked at it and said, “well you are eventually adding a tree, it looks like a perfect place for the tree!”

I was able to paint a tree exactly where my painting seemed ruined and it ended up looking nice! And I thought for a moment that maybe that’s what God does to the mess ups in our lives. Maybe We run ahead of Him and mess something up, but when we return to Him and wait for instruction, He is still able to form it into something beautiful. After all, He is the author of our beautiful mess And He has proven to work all things out for good, even our mess ups.
